Visit GLOBALink during the 2008 World Cancer Congress ! Located in the exhibition area the GLOBALink stand will offer delegates free access to the Cyber Center, free setup and printing of their individual congress itineraries as well as their personalized abstract book.

GLOBALink has been a membership program of the International Union Against Cancer (UICC) since 1993, devoted to serving the global tobacco control community in the fight against the use and promotion of tobacco products. It provides a user-friendly mean of information exchange through the Internet and email, exclusively for people working in tobacco control. GLOBALink is a vital tool for policy makers and campaigners and is particularly useful in that it provides a forum for discussion free from tobacco industry scrutiny.

GLOBALink's community-reviewed membership has grown from less than 50 at the start to an over 6,200-strong group of tobacco control professionals from 155 countries.

GLOBALink works at all levels of Internet communication: web-servers, email, public and/or moderated list-servers, opt-in lists, blogs, podcasts, push-technology, databases, directories. These tools are used to optimize the communication on tobacco-control between health professionals as well as with the public, it's objective is to share information with the larger group possible.

GLOBALink is a place where the TC community gets the technical support it needs for the internet, tobacco control intelligence, networking, initiatives and actions and most importantly, there is a global tobacco control community spirit fostered and nurtured by UICC GLOBALink members over the years.
