2022 WORLD CANCER CONGRESS

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, 17 - 20 OCTOBER 2022

CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS

UICC is looking forward to receiving your session proposal for the 2022 World Cancer Congress, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland and around the World through the Congress platform, from 17 - 20 October 2022.

Thank you for completing the session proposal web form and submitting it by pressing the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 12 November 2021 at 23:59 CEST.

Any incomplete form may not be taken into consideration by the Programme Committee who will act as the reviewing panel for all proposals.

Please ensure that you have read the guidelines which will help you submit a quality proposal for the 2022 World Cancer Congress.

NB: Please note that incomplete forms cannot be saved.

UICC will give a preference to proposed sessions that include the following:

  • Identified session’s learning objectives, aim and purpose
  • Emphasis on interaction 
  • Innovative thinking aligned with one of the programme’s themes
  • Tools/implements that may be used by the audience
  • Topics of global interest 
  • Cross-sector or cross-country or cross-organisation proposals

1. SESSION ORGANISER

A. Each proposed session should be coordinated by a session organiser:

If organisation name is in the form of an acronym, please detail it in brackets next to the name, for example: UICC (Union for International Cancer Control).

3. SESSION TITLE

The session title should objectively describe the content. It should be brief and in sentence case. Thank you for not using non-standard abbreviations and commercial names.

4. SESSION DESCRIPTION

a. Aim and purpose

Please write two to three sentences describing the aim and purpose of your proposed session, including a rationale for why this is a priority topic of global interest and how the session helps achieve the World Cancer Declaration targets

b. Audience

Please specify the type of audience you are targeting with your session.

c. Learning Objectives

Please define two or three learning objectives for the participants attending your session.

d. Knowledge Transfer

Will your session include any tools/implements that participants will be able to use and/or take away with them?

5. SESSION CHAIR

Please propose a Chair (moderator) for your session. The session chair could be the session organiser or one of the proposed speakers who would agree to endorse both roles. Please note that only one Chair per session will be accepted.

6. SESSION PANELLISTS / PROPOSED SPEAKERS

The 2022 World Cancer Congress will be a hybrid Congress. All the selected sessions will be livestreamed on the Congress Platform during the event and available on-demand until 31.12.2022.

Thank you for ensuring that the proposed speakers and panellists have been contacted or will be contacted by the session organiser and that they are available and willing to present on-site in Geneva during the 2022 World Cancer Congress.

Would your speakers not be able to travel to Geneva, the Programme Committee is open to consider virtual sessions to be pre-recorded, uploaded and available on-demand on the platform.

Please comment on the questions the speakers/panellists will attempt to answer, and why they have been specifically put forward.
