2020 Programme engagement opportunities

A participant speaking to the audience at the 2018 World Cancer Congress

Due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic and the disruption to travel and social gatherings into 2021, UICC has decided to call off the World Cancer Congress planned for March 2021 in Oman.

Engagement opportunities

"Concurrent sessions were loaded with many topics of interest, the challenge was the choice".

– Delegate via 2018 WCC Survey

The Congress programme is drawn from the contribution of the global cancer community. There are six ways to contribute to the WCC programme (see chart below). The whole process is overseen by our appointed Programme Committee.

The theme "The way forward" sets the tone of the Congress to serve as a platform for the cancer control and NCD communities to advance in the right direction.

Whether you are an experienced oncologist, a dedicated cancer researcher, an inspirational caregiver, a committed volunteer representing a patient support group, an employee of a cancer society, a fundraiser or the General Director of a hospital, get involved, raise your voice, submit a proposal and support us in shaping a comprehensive and inspiring Congress Programme.

How will you participate in the Programme ?
