The 2018 Patient Group Pavilion aims to strengthen the patients’ voices through shared learning and collaborative exchanges amongst patient support groups and other healthcare professionals.

Programme Schedule

Please view the 2018 Patient Group Pavilion programme, including the speakers' names and presentations' schedule over the three Congress days.

45 presentations will compose the Pavilion's programme, further to a thorough selection by the two-co-chairs: Mrs Ann Steyn, UICC Board Member and Past President Reach to Recovery International, South Africa and Mrs Amanda Pomery, Director, Support & Community Outreach, Prostate Cancer Foundation, Australia.

The presentations will feature examples of best-practices and effective collaborative approaches in various areas of cancer control that affect women, men and children with cancer, including their families and relatives.

The programme schedule features the following themes and structure:

Tuesday 2 October: Organisational framework
Six sessions of 1h : three in the morning and three in the afternoon
One chair and three presenters for each session

Wednesday 3 October: Navigating cancer care
Six sessions of 1h : three in the morning and three in the afternoon
One chair and three presenters for each session

Thursday 4 October: Patient voices
Three sessions of 1h: in the morning
One chair and three/four presenters for each session
