The aim of this session is to engage World Cancer Congress participants in an open conversation about how to substantially reduce alcohol-related cancers through evidence-informed policies. Presenters will provide a short overview of the evidence for alcohol as a risk factor and the policy options available. The session will then move into an interactive conversation which will explore how different countries are working to develop and implement alcohol control policies and the impacts these are having on populations. The goal is for participants to better understand the evidence, improve their awareness of evidence-informed policy options, how these policies are being implemented in different contexts, and what the lessons learned are for the broader cancer community.
