Supportive care is essential in managing the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges faced by patients throughout their treatment. It encompasses a wide range of services designed to improve quality of life, from pain management and nutritional support to counselling and physical therapy. By addressing these aspects, supportive care helps patients maintain their strength, cope with side effects, and stay positive throughout their journey.
Sessions took place during coffee and lunch breaks where attendees had the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with others who are passionate about enhancing patient care and well-being. The pavilion hosted a series of engaging talks where healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients shared their experiences, insights, and the latest advancements in supportive care. Together, we can foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the comprehensive support that is vital for patients navigating their healthcare journey.
The Supportive Care Pavilion is supported by La Roche-Posay. Outside of the breaks, La Roche-Posay used the Pavilion to share information about how the company actively engages in the promotion of the Supportive Care via various activities (www.cancer-support.com, dedicated skin care products, thermal center recognised worldwide etc.)
