Inclusivity

At the World Cancer Congress 2026, we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming and accessible environment where all participants can fully engage, contribute and connect.

We recognise that meaningful participation requires removing barriers and supporting the diverse needs of our global community. We encourage delegates who may require specific assistance or accommodations to contact the Congress delegate services in advance so that we can best support their participation.

AI-powered multilingual translation

We are delighted to announce that, for the first time at the World Cancer Congress, AI-powered live translation will be available in multiple languages to support participation from our global community.

This service will enable delegates to follow selected sessions in their preferred language directly from their own device.

Important information:

  • Please bring your own smartphone to access the translation platform.
  • Personal earphones or headphones are required and should be brought by each participant.
  • Further details on supported languages and how to access the service will be shared closer to the Congress.

We believe that language should never be a barrier to learning, collaboration and global cancer control.

Inclusive facilities for religious and cultural needs

HKCEC is committed to creating an inclusive environment that respects the diverse religious and cultural needs of all delegates. As part of this commitment, the venue has introduced facilities and services designed to support a wide range of practices, including those recognised under its CrescentRating Gold accreditation for Muslim-friendly MICE venues.

Facilities and services include:

  • Quiet, dedicated prayer and reflection spaces available to delegates, with separate areas provided to support different needs.
  • Prayer rooms equipped with appropriate furnishings, including mats and directional guidance for specific religious practices.
  • Washroom facilities located nearby, including water-friendly features suitable for ritual washing where required.
  • A variety of catering options to accommodate diverse dietary requirements, including Halal-certified food available during events.

These initiatives form part of HKCEC’s broader approach to ensuring that all visitors—regardless of background or belief—feel welcomed, respected, and supported throughout their event experience.
