Registration UICC – AstraZeneca WCC 2026 dinner event

Can Universal Health Coverage Happen Without the Private Sector?

The World Cancer Congress aims to strengthen the participants' actions and impact on national, regional and international scales through a multidisciplinary programme featuring the latest successful cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care interventions.

We would like to invite you to participate at a dinner session to bring your industry/company/organisation perspective and share your expertise.

This dinner session co-hosted by AstraZeneca and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) will focus on: Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is a public promise, but in practice it depends on a wider ecosystem of actors. This session asks what role the private sector should play in advancing UHC. How can private sector involvement help accelerate access to innovative medicines and/or enhance the capacity of the public sector to reach more patients? Why is now the right time for this discussion, and what guardrails are essential? This event aims to contribute to broader World Cancer Congress discussions on equity in cancer care and health financing.

It follows the full session on this some topic held in the morning at the congress. The goal is to continue the conversations with a key set of experts and participants. Developing opportunity for greater collaboration amongst different stakeholders.
