With the World Cancer Congress 2026 fast approaching, the Congress is urging prospective delegates to act quickly as important deadlines and programme developments are announced.

Participants are encouraged to secure their place before registration fees increase at 23:59 CEST on Tuesday 23 June 2026. Current discounted rates remain available only for a limited time, offering an opportunity for attendees to confirm their participation at a lower cost.

New plenary speaker announced

The Congress has confirmed that Elizabeth Mittendorf, President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), will join the plenary programme. She will speak during Plenary 2, titled “Where are we going? Breakthroughs and the future of cancer care”, taking place on Friday 25 September. The session will explore cutting-edge developments and innovation shaping the future of cancer care.

New AI-powered translation service

In a first for the World Cancer Congress, AI-powered translation will be introduced to enhance accessibility and inclusivity for participants from around the world. The service will support multiple languages and can be accessed using a personal smartphone and earphones or headphones, enabling delegates to follow sessions more easily regardless of language barriers.
