Enhance your World Cancer Congress experience by joining one or more exclusive discovery tours across Hong Kong on 23 September. These visits offer a unique opportunity to learn about pioneering developments in cancer care, traditional Chinese medicine, medical robotics, and patient support services. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with waiting lists available for fully booked tours.

The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is the flagship institution for Chinese medicine (CM) in Hong Kong and serves as the CM teaching hospital for three local universities. CMHHK undertakes five key missions: clinical services, training and education, research, collaboration, and creating health values.
As a “change driver,” the hospital actively engages with stakeholders to foster the development of Chinese medicine in Hong Kong, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and the wider international community.
Visitors are invited to explore and gain a deeper understanding of CMHHK’s unique services through a guided tour. Each visit lasts approximately one hour and includes our clinical areas as well as Chinese medicine cultural exhibits, offering a holistic view of tradition and innovation in practice.

Established under the InnoHK initiative of the HKSAR Government and powered by the Chinese University of Hong Kong in collaboration with ETH Zürich, Imperial College London, Johns Hopkins University, and Technical University of Munich, the InnoHK Multi-Scale Medical Robotics Center (MRC) is positioned to enable translational research and productization of novel surgical robotic technologies.
The Hybrid Operating Room of the MRC lab, equipped with MRI and Robotic-Assisted C-Arm X-ray Imaging System (Artis Zeego) machines, enables real-time, intra-operational medical imaging during surgical robotic interventions R&D. Our hybrid operating room is a one-of-its-kind facility in Asia that is fully dedicated to R&D and preclinical evaluations of new surgical robots and medical devices via live animal and cadaveric studies.

Established in 1963, the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society (HKACS) is Hong Kong’s oldest non-profit cancer organisation and a long-standing UICC member. Through its wide range of services, HKACS supports patients and families across the cancer journey, from prevention and screening to rehabilitation, palliative care, and survivorship.
Working closely with healthcare providers and community partners, HKACS delivers patient-centred programmes designed to address medical, psychosocial, and practical needs while strengthening cancer care support across Hong Kong.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour of HKACS facilities and an interactive discussion with the Society’s team, offering valuable insights into how collaboration, innovation, and community engagement contribute to supporting people affected by cancer.

Participants will enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the Centre’s state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced imaging, radiotherapy units, and the HKSH Proton Therapy Centre, the first proton therapy centre in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The visit offers a unique opportunity to learn how innovative technologies and integrated care models support cancer treatment and patient care.

Techmezz – Participants will explore lifelike anatomical structures through VR headsets and interact with life-sized virtual cadavers on our Anatomage Tables. The tour showcases how Techmezz blends cutting-edge technology with medical education at HKU.
CPOS – Participants will explore advanced technologies and high-performance computing resources within core facilities, including optical imaging, high-parameter cell sorting, and cryo-electron microscopy. Guided through these laboratories, they will discover how these cutting-edge instruments and computational tools facilitate biomedical research and enable groundbreaking scientific discoveries.
HKU Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) – During the visit, delegates will receive a brief introduction to HKU Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC), the central platform for coordinating and managing clinical trials under HKU and Queen Mary Hospital. They will then tour the HKU Phase 1 Clinical Trials Unit, a dedicated 24-bed research facility designed for phase 1 and early-phase trials. Delegates will see key facilities, including the clinical research ward, clinical laboratory and pharmacy, and learn how these functions work together to support studies requiring close participant monitoring. The visit will also highlight HKU-CTC’s approach to safeguarding participant safety, research quality and data integrity throughout the clinical trial process.
